A tech detox is a break from technology, work, and games. It can be taken for days or weeks at a time and in short intervals throughout the day. Taking these designated times to disconnect from your computer and gadgets (work and games) will help bring balance back into your life. There are many ways of achieving this goal, some more extreme than others. I’ll go through just two different methods that have worked for me in the past: The Pomodoro Method & The Productivity Challenge.
The Pomodoro Method works by setting a timer to 25 minutes where you focus on one task without any interruption during this period. After those 25 minutes, take a five-minute break with no interruptions. You can continue this process indefinitely for the day as long as you have a task to focus on and an appropriate timer.
