Destroy Weeds Naturally With Baking Soda

Solution or Direct Application: There are two ways to use baking soda:
Solution: Mix 1 cup of baking soda with 1 gallon of water in a spray bottle. Apply directly to the weeds.
Direct Application: Sprinkle a thin layer of baking soda (around 1 teaspoon) directly on each weed. Apply on a damp day for better sticking.
Target Young Weeds: This method is most effective on young weeds.
Limitations of Baking Soda:
Not a Selective Killer: It can harm desired plants along with weeds. Be careful when applying.
Temporary Solution: While it may kill the top growth, it might not kill the roots. Weeds can grow back.
Soil Impact: Large amounts of baking soda can alter the soil pH, making it less hospitable to some plants.
Alternatives to Baking Soda:
Vinegar: White vinegar is another natural weed killer. It’s more effective than baking soda and can be mixed with dish soap for better sticking power.
Boiling Water: Pouring boiling water directly on weeds can kill them, but be cautious around desirable plants.
Remember: These natural methods may require repeated applications for complete control. For tougher weeds, consider more targeted, organic herbicides.
