If you are ever in a situation where you need to perform CPR, it is important to remember the following steps:
- Check to see if the person is unconscious.
- If they are unconscious, call 911 or your local emergency number.
- Start chest compressions by placing your hands in the center of the person’s chest.
- Press down firmly and quickly, at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute.
- If the person is not breathing, give them rescue breaths after every 30 chest compressions.
