ABS Workouts Are WASTE OF TIME. DO THIS INSTEAD

  • Focus on compound exercises. Compound exercises work multiple muscle groups at the same time, which is more effective for burning fat. Some examples of compound exercises include squats, deadlifts, bench presses, and pull-ups.
  • Eat a healthy diet. This means eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. It also means avoiding processed foods, sugary drinks, and excessive amounts of saturated and unhealthy fats.
  • Get enough sleep. When you don’t get enough sleep, your body produces more of the stress hormone cortisol. Cortisol can make it harder to lose fat and can also lead to muscle loss. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep per night.

If you do these things, you will be well on your way to getting visible abs. Ab workouts can still be a part of your routine, but they should not be the only thing you do.

Here are some additional tips for getting visible abs:

  • Do planks regularly. Planks are a great way to strengthen your core muscles. Hold a plank for as long as you can, and gradually increase the time as you get stronger.
  • Do hanging leg raises. Hanging leg raises are another great core exercise. Hang from a pull-up bar with your arms fully extended, and raise your legs up towards the ceiling.
  • Do Russian twists. Russian twists are a great way to work your obliques. Sit on the ground with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Hold a weight in your hands and twist your torso from side to side.
  • Do crunches. Crunches are a classic ab exercise, but they can be hard on your neck. If you do crunches, make sure to keep your neck in line with your spine.

It is important to note that everyone’s body is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. If you are not sure how to get visible abs, it is best to consult with a personal trainer or nutritionist.
